You can not just jump out of the car and start bending nails! Always approach floor design with the same careful planning and care in another carpentry job. Study the blueprint carefully and note the location of the stairway openings, cantilevers, in floor beams, and concentrated loads from above. My theory is built from the roof. Of course, I do not know that the construction of the first roof. Look at the roof plan (a few days) before the time and note the concentratedLoads, different wall heights, cathedral ceilings, etc. A good carpenter knows these things before you scuff plates and beams.
